How does it
work?
HOW DOES KINESIOLOGY WORK?
Kinesiology is a non invasive technique whereby the practioner
will use muscle testing (by gentle placing their hands on
your arms) to access feedback around your specific issues.
This technique is called muscle testing. It uses the scientific
functioning of the muscles and the Central Nervous system
to identify areas of blockage and imbalance. This is achieved
by monitoring the change in muscle response.
What does this mean for you?
It means that a suitably qualified and trained facilitator
can identify, specific to you, what has caused an imbalance
then apply the appropriate techniques to restore balance and
harmony. Once we are back on track we can continue living
with a better quality of life.
This technique is performed fully clothed while lying, sitting
or standing.
THE ADAPTIVE SYSTEMS OF THE HUMAN BODY
Essentially everything we need for survival, with the exception
of food, air and water is found within the body itself. The
human body is self-regulating, self perpetuating and self-healing.
This means that in order to survive, our body must maintain
homeostasis (balance) by constantly monitoring the internal
and external environment. It does this via our nervous system
and makes adjustments and changes to suit that environment.
The cerebellum, the "computer" in the brain, is
responsible for our physical responses and adaptations. Signals
are sent between the muscle and brain via the neural pathways.
Muscle testing taps into this adaptive system. This gives
the practitioner information to facilitate changes within
your own healing process.
USING MUSCLE TESTING AS A VERIFICATION TOOL
When we are unable to adapt efficiently the signals between
body and brain become unclear. Through muscle testing, this
will show up as a change of muscle response, which indicates
an inappropriate adaption in the person's life. This is how
we use the tool of muscle testing in Specialised Kinesiology.
WE ARE MENTAL, EMOTIONAL, PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL BEINGS
A specialised kinesiologist works with physical movement
as well as the mental, emotional, physical or energetic systems
of a person.
The kinesiology practitioner has a broad base of training
and can work in many different ways with a person.
For Example:
- Relationship issues, emotional stress, learning difficulties,
physical aches and pains, food intolerances, etc.
- Uses a variety of techniques to effect a positive change:
pressure points, visualisations, flower essences, 5 element
balances, body polarity, etc.
- Finds the "age of cause" for any issue that
a person may have, i.e. the memory cells that may be related
to or are maintaining the inability to adapt. This may relate
to unresolved childhood issues.
Disease or dis-ease results from blocking the flow of life
and symptoms are the body's way of dealing with the blockage.
Treating symptoms is like killing the messenger for bringing
bad news. By treating symptoms we are suppressing the body's
way of expressing that we are unable to adapt. Kinesiology
treats the whole person in order to find out what is behind
the symptoms.
